Granada Rug
The beautiful Moorish fortress and palace, The Alhambra, in Granada Spain, is adorned with lavish decorative details and is the inspiration for our geometric Granada Rug.
It is intricately hand woven by skilled craftsmen using the ‘Tibetan knot’ technique, produced in Kathmandu valley in Nepal. Hand knotted using 100% New Zealand Wool, which is renowned to be of the highest quality. A pure quality soft wool that takes dye colours well and allows for bright tones. The design is a combination of a low loop pile and higher cut pile which emphasises the motif and brings textural interest to the design. Our artisans expertly use ancient hand carving techniques to create this effect.
Our rugs are produced under the GoodWeave label, which ensures that no child, forced or bonded labour is used in the making of our certified rugs. In addition your purchase supports programs that educate children and ensure decent workplace conditions for adults.
Custom sizes & colours are available for the Granada rug. You can purchase our Pompom Palette, to help you in making your colour selection. This is fully refundable when returned.
