Honey Glaze Side Plate

£55

Working out of her Norwich based studio, Paige Mitchell creates designs which she uses in her daily life. Her ideas are developed through gardening, sketchbook drawing, and both wheel thrown and hand-built ceramics.

This stoneware plate is formed on a mould and painted by hand. Fired once to 1000 degrees celsius, it's then signed, waxed, and dipped into a homemade glossy honey glaze. A harlequin pattern is painted by hand on top of the glaze. Once dry the piece is ready for its final 1230 degree firing.
